Mainly on a technically proficient level.

Photographs can communicate to both the photographer and viewer. The act of making a photograph in of it’s self is a form of communication. Photography is both subjective and literal. Both can exist. Just not on the same plane.

The act of seeing a photograph is of it’s self a form of comminication. How we see an image is how we compose it. Thus, how we see results in a message communicated through a set of visual clues. Photographs communicate based on how photographers want you to see, think, read, and feel about their images.

The act of viewing a photograph also communicates. Often, this is an end result for some photographers. How one reads a photograph can be interpreted as communicating.

Hi

Welcome

Pictures are worth a thousand words, but photographs are priceless.

Pictures are worth a thousand words, but photographs are priceless.

True Resolution

True Resolution:
Weddings, portraits both family and senior. It was the sub-conscious that was seeing this cohesive element. Once I realized I was shooting with this in mind, even though it wasn’t completely apparent to me, I began to think, if you look beyond what you see, you can see more. Look beyond what you are seeing and view the scene, arrangements, and elements within the composition and you will see beyond what you see.

Welcome

Welcome to See The Photo. See The Photo is a photography blog that examines the philosophical aspects of photography and approaches the medium from an intellectual perspective and goes beyond the technical aspects of the camera„ computer, and the other devices used to produce photographs. I want to discuss and examine why and how photographs exist. Seeing a photograph does not mean just the literal, looking at a photograph. It has a meaning placed on viewing an image from inception of idea and thought to seeing it through to post-processing and final out put. The photographs we see that exist. These are some of the many ideas and theories that will be proposed and discussed here. Please feel free to leave your comments and thoughts and counter thoughts to the subject matter.
